Founded in November 2017 in California, NXTelematics chose to headquarter in Los Angeles.

California is recognized as a hub for technology and software developments that fulfill the requirements of the telematics industry. The accessibility of highly skilled labor, the proximity to complementary industries, customers and suppliers, are the main factors that NXTelematics has considered to establish its business in California. It is easier to not only find the best engineers, but also establish links with other industries and investors that can help operators grow.

Founded in 2003, KUANTIC is one of the leading European players in Fleet Telematics systems and Machine to Machine (M2M). The company offers comprehensive solutions that encompass all the components of an M2M project: designing connected GSM/GPS geo-tracking devices, offering M2M subscriptions, monitoring and maintaining the deployed fleet, and providing support during the study and prototyping phases of M2M projects.

Market opportunities and the desire to expand its product offering have enabled KUANTIC to gain genuine legitimacy with key accounts in the automotive industry in Europe and beyond, such as Peugeot-Citroën (PSA), Renault, Nissan, Opel, Volkswagen, Toyota, Fiat, and, for the deployment of their strategic and structural projects in the M2M world, with Steria Worldline (Atos), Continental, Konica Minolta, Air Liquide. In 2017, Valeo Group, a major worldwide automotive supplier, purchased 33% of Kuantic capital.

Free2move is NXTelematics’ privileged partner for the development of the Fleet Telematics Solution in the US. Free2move belongs to PSA Group and innovates by combining car, bicycles and scooter-sharing services into a single interface. Free2move is an “app of apps” that gives access to a multitude of mobility services provided by all types of operators in 34 cities. Through Free2move, PSA’s goal is to make the group a major player in mobility services worldwide.

PSA Group is a French multinational manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles sold under the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands. In 2018, PSA sold 3.88 millions vehicles, reaching a revenue of €74 billion ($82 billion). PSA is a constituent of the CAC 40 index. On November 2019, PSA and FCA (Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles) announced an agreement in principle for a 50-50 merger.
